Abstract
Micafungin is fungicidal against Candida strains. In children the recommended dosage is 2-4 mg/kg (maximum of 100 mg), once a day for a total 14-21 days after the last positive blood culture, but longer administrations might be needed in the case of deep organ localization [1, 2]. A 16 year-old male with acute lymphoblastic leukemia developed candidemia with associated hepatic lesions during neutropenia following the 1st cycle of chemotherapy This article is protected by copyright.
